| STARTING PROBLEM |
1) Check fuel flow to the carburetor
2) Apply choke and start
3) Check spark plug for good spark

| GEAR DOES NOT ENGAGE PROPERLY |
1) Check clutch lever free play.
2) If more play or over tight adjust the clutch cable nut by opening the right side
shield.
3) After adjusting the nut if the kicker is free or kicker is hard, visit the nearest Hero
Honda Authorised Service Station.

| WOBBLING OR DRAGGING TO ONE SIDE |
1) Check tyre pressure.
2) Check for worn out tyres if tyres are bald, replace tyres.
3) Check for Handle freeness. If hard, visit the nearest Hero Honda Authorised Service
Station.

| ELECTRICALS NOT WORKING (HORN, INDICATORS, BRAKE LIGHT, ETC.) |
1) Check fuse.
2) Check battery charge if less get it charged.
3) Check ignition switch for loose contact.
4) Bulbs may be fused.

| OIL LEAKAGE FROM ENGINE |
1) Check if oil drain bolt is tightened properly.
2) Check for gaskets wearout if so, visit the nearest Hero Honda Authorised Service
Station.
3) Oil leakage could be from chain drive if excess lubrication is done.

| EXCESS SMOKE FROM EXHAUST |
1) Check petrol quality.
2) Check oil level. If found to be reducing on use, visit the nearest Hero Honda
Authorised Service Station since it could be due to piston and bore problem
|
|
| POOR BRAKING OR BRAKING NOISE |
1) Check for braking adjuster limit.
2) Could be brake shoes are worn out.
3) Water entry into the brake drum.

|
| MILEAGE TEST |
Take the reading from the reserve to reserve, by
filling one litre of petrol when the vehicle goes to reserve. (Arrow of the petrol tap
should always face main for main and res. for reserve)

|
| FREQUENCY OF SERVICE |
Vehicles should be serviced at an interval of 2000
kms or 90 days, whichever is earlier.

|
| COMPULSARY REGULAR CHECKUPS |
1) Check for tyre pressure once in a week.
2) Check oil level everyday before starting.
3) Check battery regularly.
4) Check brake regularly for safety.
5) Screen filter cleaning to be done every 4000 kms.

| PROCEDURE FOR ACCIDENT & THEFT INSURANCE CLAIM. |
1) Inform the police station immediately and get
the FIR.
2) Inform the Insurance Company about the accident.
3) Take the vehicle to nearest Authorised Service Station and obtain the estimate for
repairs.
4) Along with the estimate, fill up the claim form and submit the claim to insurance
company.
5) Insurance Surveyor would inspect the extent of damage to the vehicle and approves the
repair of the vehicle.
6) After the repair is over, obtain the cash bill from the Service Station and produce the
salvage(damaged) parts along with the cash bill to Insurance Company.
7) Insurance Company would reimburse the repair charges as per the survey report submitted
by the surveyor.
